Job summary

Amcor is seeking an engineering professional to develop, direct and coordinate projects for Amcor Flexibles North America, involving mechanical and electrical components. The role emphasizes safety leadership, cross-functional teamwork and continuous improvement across packaging solutions.

You will coordinate engineering packages, manage purchasing for project materials, and help drive on-time delivery and cost control. Travel and on-site on-call support are part of the expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field (BSEE, BSME, BSET, or BEMT) with 3–6 years of experience.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing verbiage, processes and tools.
• Understanding of business processes and process improvement.
• Exceptional analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Travel up to 10% of the time to support plants.
• Ability to support onsite 24 hours on-call schedule during project go-lives.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and promotes safety programs to all employees.
• Determines customer needs by identifying problems and safety concerns; defines project scope.
• Coordinates, prepares and/or assembles the engineering package/project documentation.
• Provides purchasing services for project materials: vendor reviews, PO issuance, some price negotiation, expediting delivery.
• Coordinates project costs and scheduling; communicates project status to stakeholders.
• Determines materials required and expedites delivery as needed.
• Interfaces with people, departments, and/or companies to ensure equipment safety, on-schedule delivery, and specification compliance.
• Coordinates or assists with installation, checkout, start-up and training.
• Provides engineering support and troubleshooting for plant machinery when maintenance cannot resolve issues.
• Actively participates in Continuous Improvement projects and leads teams as requested.
