Job summary

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Sound business sense with the ability to analyze, prioritize, identify, and implement solutions.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• A comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing and the industry.
• One year of related automotive service experience.
• Completion of a two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current ASE Certifications and state licenses where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure workplace safety is the top priority and follow all safety policies.
• Consult with customers at the counter, build relationships, and explain vehicle conditions per VIP processes.
• Perform service writer duties and, when needed, work as a technician to complete services.
• Complete required training and certifications for Service Writer and Installation Technician roles.
• Aim for higher than average customer engagement and productive billed hours.
• Learn VIP processes and execute duties to deliver a better customer experience.
• Maintain facility and equipment in good condition and report issues promptly.
• Ensure compliance with the service code of ethics and relevant regulations.
