Job summary

Amerisure Insurance Company, located in Indianapolis, seeks an Auto Physical Damage (APD) Manager to lead day-to-day APD operations within Commercial Claims. You will translate strategy into priorities, develop leaders, and ensure timely, technically sound claim outcomes for high-profile agency partners.

This role requires 5+ years of commercial auto PD experience, a proven leadership background, and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or related field.
• 5 years commercial auto physical damage claim experience.
• Prior people leadership experience.
• Experience handling agency or customer escalations preferred.
• Industry designation such as AIC, CPCU, SCLA preferred.
• Strong service orientation and relationship management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with claim systems and Microsoft Office.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day APD function and service delivery for designated partners.
• Oversee APD operations: coverage analysis, investigation, reserving, timely resolution.
• Provide direction on complex APD matters and involve Director when needed.
• Monitor inventory, cycle time, quality, and service indicators; drive improvements.
• Ensure consistent APD procedures, authority levels, and vendor program adherence.
• Serve as primary APD contact for agency partners; build trusted relationships.
• Address service concerns and coordinate resolutions with Claims and partners.
• Anticipate partner needs; identify trends and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with Underwriting, Loss Control, Legal, SI, and vendors.
• Participate in budgeting, workforce planning.
• Promote controls, escalation, and handling of complaints, litigation, fraud.
• Lead process improvements to increase quality and efficiency.
• Advocate adoption of tools and analytics to improve APD outcomes.
