Job summary

Amerisure Mutual Insurance Company seeks an Auto Physical Damage Manager to lead the APD function within Commercial Claims. You will translate strategy into operational priorities, develop leaders, and ensure timely, technically sound outcomes for high-profile agency partners.

The role requires 5+ years of APD claim experience, strong leadership, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. A 2-day hybrid onsite arrangement is offered with a competitive rewards package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, insurance or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years commercial auto physical damage claim experience including complex claim handling and technical oversight.
• Prior people leadership experience required.
• Experience managing agency or customer escalations and cross-functional claim matters preferred.
• Industry designation such as AIC, CPCU, SCLA or similar professional development preferred.
• Strong service orientation with the ability to build credibility and manage relationships with high-profile agency partners and internal stakeholders.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain technical matters to varied audiences.
• Effective collaboration, change leadership, conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with claim systems, estimating platforms, reporting tools and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day APD operations and service delivery.
• Develop leaders and oversee complex APD matters.
• Partner with agency partners and internal leadership to deliver coordinated service.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive process improvements.
• Coordinate with underwriting, legal, and vendors.
• Participate in budgeting and workforce planning.
• Ensure compliance with claim handling standards.
• Travel up to 10%
