Job summary

Amerisure Insurance Company is seeking an Auto Physical Damage Manager to lead the APD function within Commercial Claims. This role manages day-to-day operations, develops leaders, and ensures timely, technically sound claim outcomes for designated agency partners.

The position requires 5 years of experience in commercial auto damage, prior people leadership, and strong communication skills. A 2-day hybrid onsite schedule is expected, with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree in business/insurance or related field.
• 5 years commercial auto physical damage claim experience, including complex handling.
• Prior people leadership experience required.
• Experience managing agency/customer escalations and cross-functional claims matters preferred.
• Industry designation such as AIC, CPCU, SCLA or similar preferred.
• Strong service orientation with credible relationships with high-profile agency partners and internal stakeholders.
• Clear, concise written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical matters.
• Collaborative, change-oriented, and decisive in building solutions.
• Proficiency with claim systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day performance and service delivery of APD within Commercial Claims.
• Translate strategy into operational priorities and develop leaders and teams.
• Manage, train, and provide performance feedback to direct reports.
• Oversee APD claim operations for accurate coverage analysis, investigation, reserving, and timely resolution.
• Direct complex or escalated APD matters involving directors.
