Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Retail Service Specialist to support store leadership in sales, customer service, and store operations. The role may assume shift management duties in the absence of store leadership, and bilingual candidates are encouraged.

Key duties include leading staff in customer service, managing showroom service levels, processing online orders and transfers, handling returns, and ensuring accurate invoicing prior to departure.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills and ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts; automotive systems knowledge is a plus.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
• ASE Certification is a valued credential.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and ensure program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders promptly, contacting customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase ledger.
• Manage returns and exchanges, process refunds, and stage merchandise accordingly.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store, including core charges and warranties.
• Communicate Zipline messages; delegate merchandising tasks to team members.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform all store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, money deposits, and security checks.
