Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and store operations. This role may assume shift management in the absence of store leadership and emphasizes efficient handling of transfers, returns, and special orders.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems and repair knowledge.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including program execution.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers and DC add orders promptly.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Process returns and exchanges, issue refunds correctly, and stage returned merchandise.
• Invoice all merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to work schedules and proper clock-in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, including banking deposits.
• All other duties as assigned.
