Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, and store operations. The role may assume shift management in the absence of leadership and encourages bilingual candidates.

The position emphasizes leading by example in customer service, handling store processes, and ensuring compliance with company policies. Previous retail or auto parts experience is valued, along with RSS Certification when obtained.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills are required for effective customer interactions.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification is required.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom and ensure team adherence to customer service programs.
• Ensure telephone is answered according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store transfers, and DC add orders promptly and notify customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure.
• Ensure returns and exchanges are processed accurately and refunds issued with correct payment methods.
• Invoice all merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Monitor work schedules, approve deviations, and ensure proper clock-in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day end procedures, and secure money and premises.
• All other duties as assigned.
