Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Auto Damage to join our comprehensive training program and begin a career in property and casualty claims. You will learn claim handling, policy interpretation, and customer service, working alongside experienced professionals in a hybrid work model.

Over the 9-12 month program you will develop skills to handle auto, heavy equipment, and property damage claims, build reserves, and advance toward full claims responsibilities with licensing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; internship/experience in customer service or insurance is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; willingness to learn claims management.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training covering policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
• Assess coverage to determine compensability.
• Investigate by gathering information from policyholders, claimants, and witnesses.
• Coordinate with resources to obtain evidence for claims.
• Assess claims for potential fraud.
• Establish claim reserves and determine payments.
• Develop action plans for effective claim resolution.
• Communicate claim status to all parties, including business customers.
