Job summary

Travelers in Alpharetta, GA is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Auto Damage. You'll receive comprehensive training in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while building expertise to handle auto, heavy equipment, mobile equipment, and property damage claims.

The program lasts 9–12 months, after which you progress toward full claims handling. You will participate in investigations, assess coverage, determine reserves, and communicate with business customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Previous internship or work experience in customer service or insurance.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); willingness to learn claims management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement and make effective decisions within established authority.
• Exceptional customer service skills and commitment to providing a positive experience for insureds and claimants.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Basic conflict resolution skills; willingness to learn techniques for facilitating productive discussions and negotiations.
• Demonstrated openness to continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Participate in structured training on insurance policies and claim processes.
• Assess coverage to determine compensability.
• Investigate by gathering information from policyholders, claimants, witnesses.
• Obtain evidence to assess fraud and determine reserves and payments.
• Communicate claim status to all parties.
• Maintain records in claim management systems.
• Develop action plans for claim resolution.
• License to be obtained within three months of starting.
