Job summary

Travelers Canada is seeking an Associate Claim Rep, Auto Damage, for a structured 9–12 month program. You will train in claim handling, customer service, and policy interpretation while working with experienced claims professionals.

You will develop skills to manage auto, heavy equipment, and property damage claims, with frequent customer interactions via phone and written communications. Graduation leads to independent claims handling."

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Internship or work experience in customer service or insurance.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and claims management learning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement within established authority.
• Exceptional customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in structured training covering policies, claims processes, and systems.
• Assess coverage to determine compensability.
• Investigate by gathering information from policyholders, claimants and witnesses.
• Collaborate with resources to obtain evidence for proper handling of claims.
• Assess claims for potential fraud and establish reserves and payments.
• Develop action plans for effective claim resolution and keep records updated.
• Communicate claim status to all parties including business customers.
• Maintain accurate records in claim management systems.
• Embrace continuous learning, including AI and digital tools.
