Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; internship or work experience in customer service or insurance is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain an active adjuster license where state law requires.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and eager to learn claims systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication to convey information clearly and professionally.
• Ability to exercise sound judgement within established authority.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Participate in training classes covering insurance policies, claim processes, systems, and procedures.
• Assess coverage to determine compensability.
• Investigate by gathering information from policyholders and claimants to verify the facts of loss.
• Assess coverage and bring claim to resolution with accurate payment in a timely manner.
• Communicate and apprise all parties regarding claim status.
• Maintain accurate records of claim activity in claim management systems.
• Adapt to new technology implementations, system upgrades, and digital tool rollouts, particularly in the areas of AI.
• Acquire and maintain relevant Insurance License(s) to comply with state law within three months of starting the job.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
