Job summary

Gerber Collision & Glass in Iowa City seeks an Auto Body Technician to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition with precise repair work and attention to customer experience.

Two pathways: high school diploma or equivalent plus technical training or a 3-year apprenticeship; you will work with the team to meet KPIs and deliver WOW in every repair. Benefits include PTO, holidays, insurance, retirement and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical school training or a 3-year apprenticeship in auto body repair.

Responsibilities

• Execute WOW plan consistently.
• Plan repairs and prepare cost estimates using various tools.
• Hammer out dents and apply fillers to repair damage.
• Realign chassis and frames to repair structural damage.
• Replace damaged sections and glass; repair interior parts.
• Weld and fit parts; repaint vehicles to spec.
• Complete work orders within labor time guidelines.
• Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure quality.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
