Job summary

MeBe Family is seeking a Behavior Technician to support children with autism at our Learning Center in Escondido, CA. You’ll implement 1:1 behavior plans, track progress, and collaborate with BCBA supervisors to deliver evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• RBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT certification within 45 days of employment.
• TRICARE certification is preferred.
• Prefer a background in child care; teaching, counseling, babysitting.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs, squat, sit, stand, and/or run.
• First Aid Certification and CPR is preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work with computers.
• Must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.
• Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's in Pediatrics or Human Development preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting for kiddos with autism.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAAs to help improve communication, self-help, social and play skills.
• Relay progress to BCBA to aid with assessments.
• Accurately record behavior and progress in Central Reach after each session.
• Clock in/out and submit session notes to align with ABA and provider regulations.
• Keep the workplace organized, safe, and clean.
• Assist with lunch, bathroom breaks, and diaper changes as needed.
• Support sites director and supervisors with projects and tasks.
• Voice questions and concerns to supervisors and participate in treatment planning.
• Build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Contribute to the MeBe Family culture.
