Job summary

MeBe Family in Mesa, AZ is seeking a compassionate Behavior Technician to work 1:1 with children on the autism spectrum in home or at our Learning Center. You will implement treatment plans under BCBA supervision and help develop communication, social and daily living skills.

The role emphasizes empathy, reliability and teamwork. Training to become an RBT is provided, with ongoing mentoring and paid training, plus growth opportunities and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• RBT/CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs, squat, sit, stand, and/or run.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Ability to work with computers.
• If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients.
• TRICARE-certified

Responsibilities

• Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to improve communication and self-help skills.
• Relay progress to BCBAs and assist with BCBA assessments.
• Accurately record progress in Central Reach after each session.
• Clock in/out and submit session notes according to ABA and Insurance regulations.
• Keep the workplace organized, safe and clean.
• Assist with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing as needed.
• Voice questions and concerns to supervisors when appropriate.
• Build positive relationships with families while maintaining boundaries.
• Contribute to MeBe Family culture.
