Job summary

Southwest Ohio ENT Specialists Inc is seeking an Audiology Patient Care Coordinator to greet patients, schedule appointments and process insurance information. You will prepare daily charts, notify clinicians of arrivals and handle payments and end-of-day reconciliations.

You will contact insurance companies to verify benefits, enter patient data, and assist walk-in hearing aid patients with forms and repairs. Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
• Beginning-Intermediate level ability in the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate and articulate complex information simply.
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to handle a multitude of different situations; sometimes simultaneously.
• Must possess strong organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to use service recovery techniques and principles when a patient is dissatisfied.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming phone calls, routing calls, scheduling appointments and processing cancellations.
• Greet patients upon arrival and verify/update information, including insurance details.
• Assist walk-in hearing aid patients with forms for drops off, repairs and product purchases.
• Prepare patient charts for upcoming appointments and mail necessary forms if needed.
• I inform Clinicians of patient arrivals and coordinate with insurance to verify benefits.
• Collect co-pays, co-insurance and other payments and complete end-of-day reconciliation.
• Process outgoing mail and courier mail as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
