Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year in healthcare, medical office or hospital setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Open the office and start up equipment/technology for first patients.
• Answer incoming calls: route, schedule, cancel, and send paperwork as needed.
• Greets patients and notifies staff of arrival.
• Complete checkout; schedule follow-ups and procedures as needed.
• Enter and verify patient information; copy insurance cards; ensure paperwork is complete.
• Obtain pre-certifications and enter data into the PM system.
• Coordinate with billing to ensure timely processing of charges.
• Coordinate schedules for patient appointments and procedures.
• Coordinate schedules for voice pathologists and dictation in EMR.
• Run reports from information systems and share statistics as appropriate.
• Track inventory and order clinical, therapeutic and office supplies.
• Respond to emails and phone messages in a timely manner.
• Provide patient appointment reminders per guidelines.
• Clean and prepare rooms, instruments and equipment per guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
