Job summary

Goodwin is seeking a seasoned professional to join its Global Operations Team to manage attorney cohorts and drive development, onboarding, and staffing strategies across the firm. You will collaborate with partners, practice areas, and HR to align talent with client work and strategic priorities.

Ideal candidates bring a JD, 5+ years in large law settings, strong leadership and communication, and a data‑driven approach to talent decisions, with periodic travel expected.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree required; strong foundation in legal principles.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a large law firm.
• Experience in legal staffing, workforce planning, or attorney development preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication acumen to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives.
• Willingness to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

• Attorney Cohort Management: manage day-to-day development, performance, and engagement.
• Onboarding & Integration: lead onboarding and foster relationships for retention.
• Resource Allocation: align attorney skills with client work and firm priorities.
• Development and Performance Management: gather feedback and support reviews and career progression.
• Strategic and Advisory Support: identify trends and develop hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies.
• Training: deliver targeted programming and individual learning plans.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration, Innovation, & Engagement: improve talent programs and promote inclusion.
• Policy Awareness and Compliance: ensure understanding of firm policies and procedures.
