Job summary

Goodwin is seeking an Attorney Development Manager (ADM) to drive development and engagement for associates and timekeepers within a high-performing global team. The ADM partners with partners, Practice Management, and Talent to align individual growth with firm goals and client delivery.

The role emphasizes coaching, onboarding excellence, data-informed talent decisions, and cross-functional collaboration to support hiring, integration, retention, and advancement across the firm.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree strongly preferred and licensed to practice law.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in a large law firm or professional services environment.
• Experience in legal staffing, workforce planning, or attorney development is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day development, performance, and engagement for assigned Attorneys.
• Lead onboarding and integration to ensure a smooth cultural fit and workflow alignment.
• Coordinate staffing decisions, secondments, and career progression with partners and Practice Management.
• Gather and synthesize feedback to inform development plans, performance evaluations, and advancement decisions.
• Partner with Recruiting and Practice Management on hiring needs and talent strategy.
• Lead training initiatives and deliver targeted development programs for Attorneys.
