Job summary
Goodwin’s Global Operations Team is seeking an Attorney Development Manager to drive development and engagement for associates and timekeepers across assigned cohorts. You will partner with partners, Practice Management, Talent, and other teams to align careers with firm goals and elite performance standards.
With a JD and 5+ years in a large law firm setting, you will influence hiring, onboarding, and advancement while applying data-driven insights to foster a high-performing, inclusive
Qualifications
- JD degree strongly preferred, with solid legal principles.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a large law firm or professional services setting.
- Experience in legal staffing, workforce planning, or attorney development.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Discretion, integrity, and strong organizational capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day attorney development, performance, and engagement for assigned cohort.
- Lead onboarding and integration to ensure smooth cultural fit and workflows.
- Align attorney skills with client work and firm priorities to optimize assignments.
- Gather feedback to inform development plans, performance reviews, and career progression.
- Collaborate with Practice Management, Talent, and other teams to drive hiring, retention, and development strategies.
- Lead training initiatives with Learning + Professional Development and other subject-matter experts.
