Job summary

Goodwin is seeking an experienced attorney development and operations professional to join the Global Operations Team in Boston. The role focuses on cohort management, onboarding, resource allocation, and strategic advisory support to drive talent development and client-facing excellence.

Qualifications

• JD degree required or strongly preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in a large law firm.
• Experience in legal staffing, workforce planning, or attorney development.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; ability to influence stakeholders and drive initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Attorney Cohort Management: manage day-to-day development, performance, and engagement for assigned Attorneys.
• Onboarding & Integration: lead onboarding to ensure smooth integration into the firm’s culture and workflows; build trusted relationships with Attorneys.
• Resource Allocation: align Attorney skills with client work and firm priorities; optimize staffing and learning opportunities.
• Development and Performance Management: gather feedback for development plans, evaluations, and career progression; support performance review processes.
• Strategic and Advisory Support: identify trends, develop hiring and retention strategies, and guide leadership on staffing decisions.
• Training: identify needs and deliver targeted programming; support key firm initiatives and career paths.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration & Engagement: drive talent programs, inclusion, and engagement; collaborate with Talent, Practice Management and Employee Relations.
• Policy Awareness and Compliance: ensure understanding of firm policies and strategic impact on professional success.
