Job summary

Goodwin Procter Boston is seeking a seasoned Talent & Attorney Development leader to manage attorney cohorts, lead onboarding, and optimize staffing across matter teams. You will shape development plans, oversee performance reviews, and drive strategic hiring initiatives with partners and Practice Management.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree strongly preferred with solid legal principles.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a large law firm or professional services.
• Experience in legal staffing, workforce planning, or attorney development is highly preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication acumen; ability to influence stakeholders.
• Discretion, integrity, and ability to manage confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Attorney cohort management and day-to-day development, performance, and engagement.
• Lead onboarding and integration, building trusted relationships with Att torneys.
• Resource allocation to align attorney skills with client work and firm priorities.
• Develop and manage performance reviews, career progression, and coaching.
• Strategic and advisory support for hiring, retention, and development initiatives.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to improve talent programs and engagement.
• Ensure policy awareness and compliance across the attorney cohort.
