Job summary

James Madison University Athletics is seeking motivated student assistants for the Ticket Office to deliver exceptional customer service in person, over the phone, and by email. You will process sales, assist with game-day operations, and help with end-of-day cash balancing.

Qualified students must be enrolled at JMU, available to work nights and weekends, and adhere to NCAA and institutional rules. Daily tasks include pass gate operations and general event support during most home football

Qualifications

Must be a current, enrolled student at James Madison University.
Must be able to work nights and weekends.
Must possess strong customer service skills.
Prior cash handling, credit card handling experience a plus.
Adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service to patrons in person, on the phone, and via email.
Process phone and window sales as well as game day event sales.
End-of-day balancing of cash drawer, settlement, and reconciliation as they apply.
Perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
Stay informed and up-to-date on all policy, games, and events.
Facilitate pass gate operations including player pass, complimentary admission, visiting team, will call, etc. as they apply.
Assist with crowd control, ticket seller support, and general operation as needed.
Must be available to work ticketed events (including most home football games), as needed.
