Job summary

Qualifications

• Current license to practice as a physical therapy assistant in the assigned state.
• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program.
• One year of related PTA experience in home health recommended.
• CPR certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PT services under supervision of a licensed physical therapist.
• Record patient responses and communicate changes to supervising PT and clinicians.
• Promote wellness, prevention, and resources for patient care.
• Document supervisory activities in the patient’s medical record.
• Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust as needed.
• Participate in patient care conferences and quality improvement activities.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and coordinate follow-up with care providers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
