Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to deliver skilled PT services in patients’ homes under a licensed PT. You’ll implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and independence, while promoting safety and recovery in a home care setting.

You will be paid via a mix of per visit point and hourly compensation, with a comprehensive benefits package and performance-based incentives.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy assistant program as CAPTE accredits.
• Current license to practice as a PTA in the assigned state.
• Current CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of related PTA experience in home health care.
• If under 1 year, approval from regional clinical leaders and mentoring or residency may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provides physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed PT per care plans.
• observes patient response, documents changes, and communicates with clinical staff.
• Promotes wellness, prevention, and provides resources for future needs.
• Documents supervisory activities in the medical record.
• Monitors patient response and participates in quality improvement activities.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and coordinates follow-up care.
