Job summary

Fortra is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to join the Sales team. You will engage in pre-sales activities, understand customer technical and business requirements, and demonstrate product capabilities with tailored proposals.

You will also contribute to webinars, trade shows, and marketing initiatives while partnering with sales and customers. The role emphasizes collaboration across teams, managing multiple priorities, and maintaining a customer-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related field.
• Experience in a technical, customer-facing software environment preferred.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pain-discovery to understand customer needs and translate into solutions.
• Own the customer evaluation process, including trials and proofs of concept.
• Identify objections and craft creative solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Build and present customer proposals, highlighting value at all levels including executives.
• Estimate professional services effort and develop project plans to support deployments.
