Job summary

WSP is seeking Associate Project Managers to support planning and execution of transmission and substation projects across multiple U.S. offices. Travel to client sites may be required to meet with teams.

The role collaborates with Project Management, Production and Project Services to ensure deliverables meet contractual objectives and project timelines, while maintaining documentation and stakeholder communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent industry experience) in engineering, engineering management, or construction management.
3+ years of professional experience in engineering, construction, and/or electric power industry.
Basic understanding of project management principles and processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with basic PM software.

Responsibilities

Coordinate daily project activities with internal teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure on-schedule tasks and alignment with objectives.
Monitor project progress by tracking KPIs, identifying risks, and reporting to senior team members.
Prepare and maintain project documentation: progress reports, meeting minutes, risk assessments, change orders, closeout reports.
Support project budgets by tracking expenses and ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and status updates for meetings with management and clients.
