Job summary

WSP is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support project managers across transmission and substation projects. The role involves coordinating activities, tracking progress, and maintaining documentation with a focus on timely deliverables.

Travel to WSP and/or client offices for periodic meetings may be required. You’ll work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

• : Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent industry related experience) from an accredited university required – engineering, engineering management, or construction management disciplines.
• : Equivalent industry related experience is defined as three (3) + years of professional experience in engineering, construction, and/or electric power industry
• : Basic understanding of project management principles and processes, with a focus on coordination and communication.
• : Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and familiarity with basic project management software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily project activities with internal teams, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure tasks are on schedule.
• Monitors project progress by tracking KPIs and reporting findings to senior team members.
• Prepares and maintains project documentation including progress reports and risk assessments.
• Supports budgeting by tracking expenses and ensuring alignment with budgets.
• Assists in preparing presentations and status updates for meetings with senior management and clients.
