Job summary

WSP Associate Project Manager positions support planning, coordination, and execution of transmission and substation projects from multiple US offices or mutually acceptable locations. You’ll work with project teams, clients, and contractors to ensure deliverables align with objectives and timelines.

You will monitor progress, prepare documentation, and assist in budgeting and stakeholder communications while adhering to safety and conduct policies. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in engineering/related field required.
• 3+ years in engineering, construction, or electric power industries.
• Basic understanding of project management principles and processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic project software.
• Strong organization and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with environmental/construction laws and codes.
• Self-leadership with attention to detail; able to work independently or in a team.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily project activities with internal teams, clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Monitor project progress, KPIs, risks, and delays; report findings to seniors.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, reports, meeting minutes, risk assessments, and change orders.
• Assist in tracking expenses and ensuring budgets align with approvals.
• Address routine challenges and escalate complex issues when needed.
• Prepare presentations and status updates for meetings and stakeholders.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and policies; manage resources responsibly.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
