Job summary

WSP USA is seeking two Associate Project Managers to join the Power Delivery Project Management team in Saint Louis, MO and Richmond, VA, with the option to work remotely within the regions. The role focuses on assisting Project Managers with planning, coordination, and execution of transmission and substation projects.

You will work with multidisciplinary teams, track progress, maintain documentation, and communicate updates to stakeholders, while traveling to client offices as needed and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience in engineering, management, or construction management.
• 5–7 years of post-education project management experience in the industry.
• Basic understanding of project management principles, focused on coordination and communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with basic PM software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration.
• Familiarity with environmental/construction laws and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily project activities with internal teams, clients, vendors and contractors to meet schedules and objectives.
• Monitors project progress by tracking KPIs, identifying risks or delays, and reporting to senior team members.
• Prepares and maintains project documentation including progress reports, meeting minutes, risk assessments, change orders, and closeout reports.
• Supports project budgets by tracking expenses and ensuring expenditures align with approved budgets.
• Assists in addressing routine challenges during execution and escalates complex issues when needed.
• Prepares presentations, reports, and status updates for meetings with management and clients.
