Job summary

Roses Express in Danville, VA is seeking an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to provide excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in daily operations. You will help hire, train and develop the store team, ensure safety and asset protection, and maintain an organized stockroom and sales floor to meet company standards.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Flexible, full- or part-time schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day store activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist the Store Manager in protecting and securing all company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to all policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain all areas of the store to company standards including stockroom and sales floor.
• Direct supervisory responsibility for hourly Team Members when the Store Manager is not on the premises.
• Process all SSC Corporate directives.
• Assist the Store Manager on receipt and return of DSD merchandise.
• Assist Store Manager in managing freight flow and planning directives in the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin.
