Job summary

Roses Express is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to support Store Manager in day-to-day store operations and deliver excellent customer service in Smithfield, VA. You will help hire, train and develop team members, open and close the store in the manager's absence, and ensure assets, safety procedures, and stockroom organization are maintained.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs; standing, walking, and repetitive lifting.
• Work in a high energy, team environment.
• Flexible, full-time or part-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist Store Manager in protecting company assets, including cash.
• Maintain professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates and supervisors.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards; assist with freight flow.
