Job summary

Johnny’s Markets in Michigan (Three Rivers) is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help keep our friendly store running smoothly during your shift, including second and third shifts when the Store Manager is away.

You’ll lead a team, ensure excellent customer service, manage HR duties like training and scheduling, and work with suppliers to meet store goals while maintaining a clean, safe, and well-stocked store.

Qualifications

• College degree or two years related experience and/or training, or the equivalent.
• A valid driver's license and a personal vehicle to perform work-related activities.
• Basic computer and software knowledge (Word, Excel, and email).
• Willingness to work any area of the store and operate a computerized register.
• Ability to bend, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and frequently carry up to 10 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set the bar for customer service, delivering friendly, efficient service.
• Provide guidance to keep the team and store looking their best.
• Handle HR duties including training, scheduling, and supervising the team.
• Follow store goals to maximize sales while controlling operating expenses.
• Partner with suppliers and other vendors in a professional way.
• Address complaints promptly and politely to keep customers happy.
• Stay up on store bookwork and share documents with Johnny’s home office.
