Job summary

Johnny’s Markets in Michigan is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help keep our store friendly and running smoothly during all shifts, especially when the Store Manager is away. You’ll be in charge during second and third shifts, ensuring the store stays clean, stocked, safe, and welcoming morning, noon, and night.

This role offers $18-21 per hour with full-time benefits, including health insurance after 60 days, a 401(k) plan with company match, paid time off and holidays, and growth

Qualifications

• College degree or two years of related experience and/or training.
• Valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle for work-related activities.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and email.
• Willingness to work any area of the store and operate a computerized register.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set the bar for customer service and help the team provide friendly, efficient service.
• Guide the team to keep the store looking its best.
• Handle HR duties including training, scheduling, and supervising the team while following HR policies and laws.
• Help maximize store sales while controlling operating expenses.
• Partner with suppliers and vendors professionally.
• Address complaints promptly to keep customers happy.
• Maintain store bookwork and share documents with home office.
