Job summary

Johnny’s Markets is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Michigan to lead customer service and daily store operations. You will supervise during second and third shifts, train staff, schedule, and work to keep the store clean, stocked, and friendly for customers.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and a willingness to work across the store while meeting company HR policies and sales goals. This is a full-time position at our Michigan location.

Qualifications

• Requires strong communication with customers, staff, and vendors.
• Ability to pay close attention to detail and multi-task daily.
• Valid driver's license and own vehicle for work-related activities.
• College degree or 2 years of related experience or training.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and email.
• Willingness to work any store area and operate a computerized register.
• Able to bend, stand, walk, lift up to 50 lbs., and carry up to 10 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set the bar for customer service and ensure friendly, efficient service.
• Provide guidance to keep the team and store looking its best.
• Handle HR duties including training, scheduling, and supervising the team.
• Follow goals to maximize sales while controlling expenses.
• Partner with suppliers and vendors professionally.
• Address complaints promptly to maintain customer happiness.
• Maintain store books and share documents with home office.
