Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, sales and customer service. The role will lead store team members, manage staffing during peak hours, and participate in hiring and training activities while ensuring policy compliance and accurate merchandising.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and leadership in a retail setting.
• Ability to motivate and coach team members to meet performance goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Oversee showroom service levels and implement customer service programs.
• Ensure staffing at the sales counter during peak hours.
• Assist in setting goals, coaching, and training for team members.
• Participate in hiring processes including interviews and candidate evaluation.
• Ensure phone coverage and policy compliance.
• Manage buy online/ship to store and transfers efficiently.
• Coordinate outside purchases and special orders processing.
• Handle merchandise invoicing and returns processing.
• Ensure store policies and security protocols are followed.
• Perform opening/closing duties and secure cash deposits.
• Maintain store appearance and equipment; support maintenance of vehicles.
• All other duties as assigned.
