Job summary

Aesop, part of the L'Oréal Groupe, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Newport Beach to support the store manager, lead a high-performing team, and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will bring entrepreneurial drive, strong commercial acumen, and coaching ability to inspire selling, onboard talent, and execute campaigns on the shop floor while maintaining brand standards and a welcoming guest experience.

Qualifications

• Over 2 years supervising and motivating a team in a customer/sales-focused retail environment.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to drive sales targets and KPIs.
• Proven ability to coach teams through ongoing feedback and performance management.
• Excellent on-floor leadership and ability to balance customer experience with business goals.
• Flexibility to work 5 full days per week, including weekends.
• Physically capable of standing, walking, stairs, and lifting up to 25 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive performance by defining quarterly goals and managing monthly commercial plans.
• Lead customer experience through training, feedback, and coaching of team members.
• Onboard and develop talent, oversee induction and probation, and conduct performance discussions.
• Supervise store operations on the shop floor and uphold brand standards and sensorial experience.
