Job summary

VIP Tires & Service is seeking an Assistant Manager to act as the second in command at the Bangor location. You will help the Service Manager lead the team, ensure safety, and deliver an exceptional customer experience by educating customers on vehicle conditions and coordinating service workflows.

You will develop the team, supervise training, and ensure adherence to VIP processes and standards while maintaining a safe, compliant service environment.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in automotive service management.
• Completion of a two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• ASE Certifications (C1, P2, G1) and State Inspection License recommended.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in the Service Manager's absence to ensure smooth operations and customer experience.
• Educate customers about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspection results and mileage.
• Support the Service Manager in developing a superior team and ensuring safety compliance.
• Coordinate training, LMS completion, and vendor trainings for associates.
• Oversee dispatching and assignment of work orders to ensure proper workflow.
• Maintain facility and equipment, cleanliness, and compliance with safety and regulations.
