Job summary

VIP, Inc in Hanover, MA is seeking an Assistant Manager to be the second in charge at the location and to support the Service Manager in delivering an exceptional customer experience and high-performance results.

You will lead a team, ensure safety, manage daily operations, train staff on LMS and ASE-related requirements, and coordinate with management to meet VIP standards and processes.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in automotive service management.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Current, valid driver's license issued in state of residence.
• ASE Certification P2 and G1 recommended.
• State Inspection License required where applicable.
• Strong people management and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Sound business sense with analytical ability.
• Good time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in the Service Manager's absence and ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Consult with customers, explain vehicle condition and recommended solutions.
• Drive VIP SAX scores and deliver high-performance results.
• Develop a superior team through training and certification planning.
• Coordinate scheduling, communications, and daily store meetings.
• Maintain facility, equipment, and cleanliness to standards.
• Enforce service ethics and regulatory compliance.
• Act as policy administrator when Service Manager is not on site.
