Job summary

VIP, Inc. in Manchester, CT is seeking a Service Manager to lead the automotive service team and ensure a safe, efficient operation. You will drive performance through coaching, scheduling, and adherence to VIP’s customer-experience standards.

The role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication, and deep automotive knowledge to maintain high-quality service and compliance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years related experience in automotive service management.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence.
• ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required; P2 and G1 recommended.
• State Inspection License required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
• Hire, develop, and retain qualified associates; ensure LMS training compliance.
• Schedule staffing to meet customer needs across all hours of operation.
• Oversee safety, facility maintenance, and equipment readiness.
• Communicate with management and conduct bi-monthly store meetings.
• Manage work orders dispatch to technicians using first-available principle.
• Ensure compliance with service ethics codes and regulations.
• Attend off-site trainings as needed.
