Job summary

VIP, Inc. Auburn, ME seeks an Assistant Manager to support the Service Manager in delivering exceptional automotive service and customer experiences.

You will lead the team, ensure safety, adherence to VIP processes, and efficient operation while communicating across shifts and coordinating with technicians. You will coach staff, manage daily tasks, monitor safety compliance, participate in training, and help maintain a clean, productive service department aligned with VIP standards and state

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in automotive service management.
• Two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence.
• ASE Certifications C1 – Service Consultant recommended; P2 and G1 recommended.
• State Inspection License required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Makes sure that workplace safety is Priority #1 and follows safety policies.
• Serve customers by consulting with them and educating them about vehicle conditions.
• Achieve better than average customer engagement as measured by SAX score.
• Lead the team and execute essential duties as assigned by the Service Manager.
• Ensure VIP processes are followed and facilities/equipment maintained.
• Enforce compliance with service codes, ethics, and regulations.
