Job summary

Terrain Cafe is opening in Wayland and seeks a dynamic Assistant Manager to lead hourly teams and deliver a best-in-class brand experience. You will oversee dining room and beverage operations, support payroll, purchasing, and ensure accurate compensation of staff.

You will collaborate with the GM and AGM to achieve targets for controllable spending, COGS, and labor while maintaining brand standards and guest satisfaction. Join a growing team in our horticulturally inspired spaces.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years restaurant experience.
• 1 year management experience.
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
• Ability to reach, bend and stoop.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for supporting and meeting daily restaurant operations to ensure a superior guest experience in our dining room.
• Collaborate with the General Manager in analyzing and recommending methods to drive sales, manage profitability, and cover operating hours including payroll, COGS, and invoicing.
• Manage beverage program; maintain relationships with purveyors; manage inventory and menu development participation.
• Assist the General Manager in hiring, training, developing, scheduling and evaluating employees.
• Enforce company standards, policies, and procedures including sanitation, safety, dress codes, and cash handling.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback and respond to issues as a brand ambassador.
• Encourage a positive work environment for all staff.
