Job summary

Cornerstone Caregiving is seeking an Assistant Operating Director (AOD) to serve as the Operating Director’s second-in-command in our growing in-office leadership team. You will oversee scheduling, staff development, and client care quality to ensure consistent, compassionate service for clients and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of experience in management, leadership operations, or human resources.
• Experience hiring, recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff.
• Healthcare or home care leadership experience.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead in-office operations and scheduling oversight.
• Coach and support in-office staff; reinforce Cornerstone’s standards, values, and culture.
• Onboard and train new office managers.
• Conduct weekly 1:1 check-ins and performance reviews.
• Oversee payroll notes, shift verification, and operations updates.
• Respond to client escalations with urgency, professionalism, and empathy.
• Check-up calls, quality visits, and client follow-ups for satisfaction and care continuity.
• Backup for client assessments when the Operating Director is unavailable.
