Job summary

Cornerstone Caregiving is seeking an Assistant Operating Director (AOD) to lead in-office operations, scheduling, staff development, and client care quality. This role serves as the second-in-command to the Operating Director and is responsible for maintaining a high standard of care and organizational efficiency.

You will oversee recruitment, onboarding, and staff support, while ensuring compliance with state requirements and Cornerstone policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• 2+ years of experience in management, leadership operations, or human resources.
• Experience hiring, recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising staff.
• Leadership experience within healthcare or home care.
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort managing multiple priorities and shifting needs throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the OD’s primary in-office partner, driving daily operations and a cohesive work environment.
• Lead, coach, and support in-office staff; reinforce standards, values, and culture.
• Onboard and train new office managers, ensuring clear performance.
• Conduct weekly 1:1 check-ins, performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary action when needed.
• Oversee administrative workflow and operations updates, including payroll notes and shift verification.
