Job summary

J.Crew Factory is seeking an Assistant Manager to support a profitable store operation. You will focus on creating genuine customer connections, coaching team members to perform at their best, and partnering with leadership to drive the business forward.

You’ll also step in on tasks as needed to maintain smooth operations. You will lead by example, ensure great product knowledge, and help the team meet ambitious goals while delivering excellent customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience with similar scope in specialty retail preferred.
• Great fashion aesthetic and awareness of industry/community trends.
• Excellent communication and confident interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Be the role model for creating personalized connections with customers to drive loyalty.
• Observe associate performance and assist to make connections or sales.
• Lead fit sessions to enhance product knowledge and style.
• Help associates maximize each customer interaction with actionable feedback.
• Ensure team stays on track to meet and exceed goals and expectations.
• Own the selling floor and position the right people in the right places.
• Step in for other managers when needed.
• Plan and execute local events to drive traffic and sales.
• Act in alignment with company values.
