Job summary

J.Crew Factory is seeking an Assistant Manager to join the store leadership team. You’ll drive profitability through genuine customer connections, brand loyalty, and strong community engagement, while coaching the sales team to maximize performance and ensuring smooth operations.

You will partner with the Store Director and the Associate Store Manager to recruit, train, and develop staff, manage store operations and systems, and create a collaborative environment that helps the team exceed goals

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail management experience with a similar scope.
• Passionately support our brand, customers, and teams.
• Stay up to date with current fashion trends and industry developments.
• Embrace teamwork, flexibility, and courtesy while executing tasks.
• Innovate and champion new ideas while navigating uncertainty, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Director & Associate Store Manager to impact results and profitability.
• Own your division of responsibility (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development efforts as needed.
• Partner with leadership to foster a collaborative working environment for associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class customer service.
• Lead fit sessions to boost product knowledge and customer connection.
• Develop innovative ways to engage the community and build loyalty through events.
