Job summary

Jackson Companies is hiring for an Assistant Manager in Training (AIT) program at multiple Utah locations. You will gain hands-on experience across store operations, drive sales and profitability, coach a team, manage expenses, control inventory, and merchandising.

Starting wage is $18.00 per hour with benefits including fuel discounts, merchandise discounts, health insurance, 401k match, tuition reimbursement, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Flexible availability for a 24/7 operation, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Leadership experience supervising teams in a food service or retail environment.
• At least 3 months of customer service experience.
• Excellent communication and a friendly, can-do attitude.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must be of legal age to sell alcohol and tobacco (NV only).
• Ability to foster teamwork and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous customer service and greet customers.
• Follow and enforce company policies with staff.
• Promote store specials and suggest purchases.
• Ensure proper sanitation and food handling procedures.
• Maintain interior/exterior cleanliness including pumps and islands.
• Minimize stockouts by restocking shelves and displays.
• Operate the fast-food area, equipment, and stock as needed.
• Be safety-conscious and report incidents to the manager immediately.
• Assist in training new employees.
• Manage food service/beverage programs to maximize sales and minimize loss.
• Report to work promptly, neatly groomed, in uniform.
• Prepare weekly supplier orders and deposits on weekends.
• Assist in fueling customer cars and handling related tasks as needed.
• Respond to emergencies when the Store Manager is unavailable.
• Operate register and other store equipment as needed.
