Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and ensure a top-notch, Judgment Free Zone for members. You will support a full-time schedule (40 hours) and may work evenings, weekends and holidays to meet business needs.

You will drive membership growth, recruit and coach staff, and maintain a welcoming atmosphere with superb customer service. Training and supervision of front desk, trainers and custodians is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service
• Previous management experience is preferred
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite)
• Current CPR Certification preferred
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills. Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff consisting of Member Service Representatives, Trainers and Custodians.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Involved in all front desk related activities including: Answer phones, check members into system, new member sign-up, tours.
