Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help run daily gym operations and deliver a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone for members and guests. You will lead staff, drive member services and support the Club Manager in achieving financial goals.

Full-time schedule with potential evenings, weekends and travel as needed. Strong leadership, communication and a commitment to service are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills. Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals and contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests, ensuring staff follow superior customer service guidelines.
• Provide backup support to Club Manager and assist in staff scheduling.
• Oversee front desk operations: check-in, new member sign-up and tours.
• Handle member requests and questions and ensure facility cleanliness and maintenance.
