Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and deliver a high-quality, Judgement Free member experience while driving club profitability. The role requires a full-time schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays to support business needs.

Daily duties include achieving sales targets, recruiting and developing a strong team, ensuring top-tier customer service, and backing up the Club Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Assist in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for all members, prospective members and guests and ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with Staff Management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Member service oversight - Ensuring staff is providing a superior customer experience at all times.
• Assist in resolving or escalating employee issues or concerns.
• Involved in all front desk related activities including: answer phones, check members in, sign up new members, give tours.
